4 of us showed up for the work day. James Hubbel, Jack Hartline, James Peavey and I. Needless to say, we didn’t finish the ceiling. Gary Franks came by and said we could have the left over insulation from the house/hanger being built at the north end of the field, so we got 2 truck loads. We did all we could and at least finished ½ of the ceiling. Another day with enough help will allow the project to be finished. It would be nice if the whole club would participate. We had a good day at the fun fly. Bob Price had a contest with his prop but didn’t win and wound up with several stitches to show for it.

President Randy Cameron called the meeting to order at 1830.

There was some discussion on the upcoming Fun Fly scheduled for October 14^th. (The fun fly earned us close to $200)

A Work Day was scheduled for November 4^th (Saturday) to try and weatherproof the clubhouse for the upcoming winter.

Some preliminary nominations for 2007 club officers were:

The Christmas party  at  Smiths Restaurant is scheduled for Thursday December 14, 2006

Just a short note from the president.  Due to family commitments, I wasn't able to make the building maintenance day, so I'm not sure how that went.  Hopefully Jim can fill us in on that. 

The weather has turned into building weather more than flying weather, although I expect that we will have a few more good days to fly before it gets to full blown winter. We did schedule the Christmas party at Smiths for our normal meeting night and time in December.  I would like to remind everyone that elections will be done at the next meeting.  Nominations for officers are still open until the election. It would be nice to get an indoor event scheduled for this winter.  If current plans don't work out everyone might keep an eye out for a place to have an indoor electric event. Have a good one and hope to see everyone at the meeting.
